1994 CSU Graduate
Small animal medicine, surgery, and dentals
Have had several years experience as a Relief Veterinarian, and as an Associate Veterinarian
Small animal veterinarian with 3.5 years of experience as an emergency veterinarian and 1.5 years of experience in a general practice. Emergency work is preferred. Will work in either setting. Objective is to work for practices which encourage the free exchange of ideas, values its employees, and strives for the highest quality patient care and client satisfaction. Based in Colorado Springs. Available to work along the Front Range from Boulder to Pueblo.
After spending five years in a very busy Las Vegas practice, I moved back to Colorado in 2007. I enjoy practicing small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry and am confident and friendly with clients. I am currently practicing as a relief veterinarian because I enjoy the flexibility it allows, and because I want to help other doctors that also need and appreciate a break from the daily grind. I do have a wide range of dates available, so please call me and see what I am like. We can find out if I am a good fit for your practice.
I am a small animal veterinarian, and CSU graduate, looking for relief veterinarian opportunities in the Denver, Boulder and Longmont areas. I have been volunteering with the Fort Collins Cat Rescue, over the past several months performing exams, treating patients, performing dentals, extractions and surgeries. I have also worked performing surgeries with the Rocky Mountain Alley Cat Alliance and the Denver Dumb Friends League. I have also taken several continuing education courses in emergency medicine and behavior.
Furthermore, my previous work experience includes positions as a veterinarian technician, technician assistant and volunteer in various veterinary offices over the years. These opportunities have solidified my ability to work as part of a team, learn new systems and techniques quickly, and have taught me how to communicate well with clients and support staff.
My veterinary experience and education has taught me the values of time management, multi-tasking, and the importance of continual learning and self study. During my years of school and private practice, I have learned advanced planning, flexibility, and resourcefulness. During veterinary school I balanced several jobs including research assistant at the USDA, technician at a Banfield in Brighton, and property manager.
